Stop the Culture Cuts
The Turnbull Liberal Government has cut over $60 million in funding from Australia’s precious cultural institutions.
These cuts have seen irreparable damage to the nation’s cultural heritage with innovative programs, such as TROVE, set to shut down, and future exhibitions, including regional touring exhibitions, put at risk. These cuts also mean that the collections of Australia’s cultural heritage are likely to diminish.
On Friday the 16th of September up to 20 staff at the National Gallery of Australia (NGA) were told that their jobs will no longer exist, with more job cuts set to come across our cultural institutions
We must stop the cuts to our cultural institutions before we lose people who are highly qualified with distinct skillsets.
Sign the petition to tell Malcolm Turnbull to undo the damage and reverse the funding cuts.
